Scholars Junction is powered by Digital Commons, a flexible and many-featured institutional repository platform. Digital Commons' Journals module provides a single point of management for your journal - create issues, collect submissions, contact reviewers, and publish, all from one place.
Journals published in Scholars Junction are automatically indexed in Google and Google Scholar. You and each of your readers will receive regular updates on readership, including downloads, citations, and social media mentions. You can also provide a DOI for every article you publish.
We host your journal free of charge. We do not currently support fee collection for subscriptions or submission processing.
The Libraries' Scholarly Communication Team provides technical support and consulting services for our journal editors.
We are here to help you:
The journals we host publish on topics including rural education, public health, extension work, and MSU undergraduate research. See the list.
Contact the Scholarly Communication Team to get started. We'll meet with you to discuss your needs, collect some introductory information, and introduce you to our Digital Commons support team.
Publishing a journal is not a solitary endeavor! Ensure that you have a staff that is knowledgeable, dedicated, and large enough to manage the work of creating a professional serial publication. Assign each of them specific roles, and create guidelines and checklists for each role.
