This guide will provide information on poetry and events for National Poetry Month

First Place - El Obra by Evelin Aguilar

Jo Aguilar is a second-year Architecture student from Pearl, Mississippi, double minoring in Creative Writing and Historical Preservation. She loves the theatre, reading webcomics, and hanging around the studio. 

Second Place - Bath Tub by Kamree Howard

Kamree Howard is a freshman in her second semester here at MSU. She is majoring in Psychology to become a counseling psychologist, minoring in Creative Writing, and striving to earn her Trama-Informed Advocacy Certificate. She is an active member of the Famous Maroon Band and Shackouls Honors College. 

Third Place - Forecast by Haylee Morman

Haylee Morman is a Junior from Richmond, Kentucky studying English, TESOL, and Creative Writing as well as pursuing the Cursus Honorum with the Shackouls Honors College. She plans to apply for an English Teaching Assistantship with the Fulbright Scholarship as well as pursuing a M.F.A. in creative writing and Ph.D. in contemporary literature.
