A Poetry Reading with Poet Saddiq Dzukogi

The MSU Libraries National Poetry Month Committee presents A Poetry Reading with Saddiq Dzukogi on April 17, 2024, at 5:30 PM in the Grisham Room, located in Mitchell Memorial Library.  A question-and-answer session will follow the reading along with a small reception and the announcement of the 5th Annual Undergrad Poetry Contest Winners.

Saddiq Dzukogi is an Assistant Professor of English here at Mississippi State University. He is the author of Your Crib, My Qibla (University of Nebraska Press, 2021) which was selected as the winner of the 2021 Derek Walcott Prize for Poetry, the co-winner of the 2022 Julie Suk Award, and was a finalist of the Nigeria Prize for Literature. He is also the author of the chapbook Inside the Floor Room which was selected for the APBF New Generation African Poets Chapbook Series. Saddiq’s poetry is featured in several publications including Kenyon Review, Poetry Wales, Cincinnati Review, Oxford Poetry, Gulf Coast, and Prairie Schooner.
