Why are some titles marked "Limited (search only)"?

Books tagged as "Limited (search only)" are restricted due to copyright, and HathiTrust cannot provide access to the full document. You can, however, search within the text to determine if it is relevant. For restricted books, the search results will provide you with a list which contains the page scan number, the page number from the original physical volume, and how many times the search term appears on each page.

This can help you identify whether the publication is relevant. You can then search the MSU Libraries' Catalog to see if it is available. If not, you can request it through Interlibrary Loan, and the library will try to get it from another university library for you.
