MSU Libraries' newspaper collection on microfilm includes these major regional and national titles:

  • Times Picayune (and earlier title variations) from New Orleans LA (1837-2008)
  • Commercial Appeal (and earlier title variations) from Memphis, TN (1847-2011)
  • Chicago Tribune, from Chicago, IL (1849-2010)
  • Chicago Defender, from Chicago IL (1909-2011)
  • New York Times, from New York, NY (1852-present)
  • Wall Street Journal, from New York (1940-present)
  • Washington Post, from D.C. (1904-2011)
  • Barron's National Business and Financial Weekly, from the Dow Jones in Massachusetts (1935-present)

Non-Mississippi newspapers on Microfilm are currently held in the Microforms Collection on the 2nd Floor. Inquire at the Access Services or Research Services desks for these materials.
