Search Research Databases
Get Items from the Library's Online Collection
- See all of CVM Library's e-books by clicking here. Click on "MSU Current Faculty/Staff/Students Click Here" to see the book.
- The library provides access to thousands of electronic journals--click here to browse by title.
- When searching research databases, look for full text links or click on the Find It button.
Get items in the Library's Print Collection
- For articles or book chapters, use the Interlibrary Loan system to request a PDF.*
- MSU faculty and staff working away from the main campus can request books using the Place Hold button in the catalog record for the book. For Pickup Library, select "MSU-Distance Ed Student" (even if faculty or staff) from the drop-down menu. The book will be mailed to you. You will be responsible for return mailing costs.
Get Items not in the Library's Print or Electronic Collections
- Use the Interlibrary Loan system to request the item.
- Articles and book chapters are sent electronically as a PDF and usually come within 1 or 2 business days.
- Books are sent as a hardcopy and usually come in a week or two.
- Be sure to use the appropriate request form under New Requests.
Get Research Assistance
* In the Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) profile MSU faculty and staff working away from the main campus should select "Extension Service" or "Experiment Station" under Site.
