Mendeley

There is a free version of Mendeley but MSU faculty, staff, and students now have access to the Mendeley Institutional Edition, which provides more storage space for PDFs and additional functionality.

Zotero
Zotero is a free, easy-to-use tool to help you collect, organize, cite, and share your research sources.

EndNote
