Getting Here

Mitchell Memorial Library Parking:
There are several areas around the Library with designated parking spaces for persons with disabilities: On the East, or Hardy Street side, there are more than 12 designated spaces, including several that are van-accessible. The spaces are located between the Stennis Center and Simrall buildings, as well as on the East end of the Stennis Center, and in the first row of the main parking lot. See the MSU parking map for more details.

On the West side of the Library, limited parking is available on the east side of the Swalm building, at the loading docks. These spaces do not include van lift access.

Getting Around

Both the Hardy Street and the Drill Field entrances are accessible and equipped with automatic doors.

Illustrated floorplans for each floor of Mitchell Memorial Library are available at These floorplans can help you find restrooms, offices, public access computers, drinking fountains, entrances and exits, and more. All restrooms and elevators are accessible. The elevators in the older part of the Library only access floors 1-3; all others access all floors. There is also a virtual tour which walks you through the Library.

Study rooms are available for quiet study or reading aloud. They are located on the first and third floors. Click here for floorplans.

Network connections for laptop computers are available throughout the library. Click here for locations and requirements.
