Library Instructional Services Department: The Library Instructional Services department provides the Libraries' users with the skills and knowledge necessary to locate and extract the information they need. They provide refresher instruction to faculty members who indicate an interest in updating their skills with the most current technology and information access tools. Library instruction can take many forms, including the following: formal instruction in our electronic classrooms; instruction in computer labs in other departments; instruction in a faculty member's classroom; instruction of faculty at their office computers; and workshops and seminars on various topics.
Digital Media Center (IMC) - The Digital Media Center supports teaching, learning and research at Mississippi State University by providing faculty, staff and students with workshops, one-on-one instruction and access to an open multimedia lab. They provide professional staff and highly-trained lab assistants, state-of-the-art hardware and software, and an environment conducive to individual and group project work. The IMC also houses the Libraries’ media collection. Check out their extensive collection of videos, DVDs, music CDs, testing materials, books on tape and more.
By setting up your own Search Alerts, you can stay on top of what is being published in your research area.
Search Alerts notify you when new articles are added about your research topic. The following steps show how to set up Search Alerts in EBSCO databases (such as Academic Search Complete, PsychINFO, etc.). Most non-EBSCO databases also allow you to set up alerts.
