The MaxxSouth Digital Media Center provides the AV Studio to quickly and easily record audio or video presentations. The studio is set up so that you can walk in with a USB drive and, with just a few mouse clicks, record professional video or audio of a speech, lecture, or other presentation. It includes a TV screen that can display information while you're lecturing. Our staff are ready to assist you!
To use the AV Studio, make an appointment at https://msstate.libcal.com/reserve/dmcstudio/av. When you arrive at Mitchell Memorial Library, stop at the Computer Commons Lab and call (662) 325-7676. A staff member will come and escort you to the Studio.
The MaxxSouth Digital Media Center also has whiteboards and digital camcorders for instructors who need to record demonstrations of formulas, equations, or other information.
Our consultation service is a one-on-one session that can be held online. These can be structured to meet the needs of the user – exploring online resources to enhance your class, finding data to support your research, getting help with Webex or Canvas, creating slides or other resources for online teaching, inserting videos and other resources into online courses, and more.
To get help with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, or other technologies, connect with a MaxxSouth Digital Media Center staff member via WebEx. To join the meeting, select "DMC Virtual Assistance" on the Libraries' calendar of events at https://msstate.libcal.com/calendar/events.
