Marszalek Speaker Series

To encourage the use of primary source materials, John and Jeanne Marszalek and the Mississippi State University Libraries established the John F. and Jeanne A. Marszalek Lecture Series, which includes papers presented by university students and a lecture by an established historian of national reputation. Recorded presentations are available on the website.

Collins Speaker Series

The Morris W. H. (Bill) Collins Speaker Series brings leading figures of the day to the Mississippi State University campus to engage in close and personal discussions about their lives and careers. Each meeting takes place at the Mitchell Memorial Library in The Grisham Room. The website contains information on speakers, as well as photos and video recordings of some presentations.

Charles Templeton Ragtime Jazz Festival

The Charles Templeton Ragtime Jazz Festival is sponsored by the University Library and the Charles Templeton Sr. Music Museum as a means of enhancing the research in the area of ragtime music, increasing the awareness of the Templeton collection housed in the MSU Library and introducing people to the sounds of Ragtime being performed by world-renowned ragtime musicians. The festival is comprised of a blend of major concerts, mini-concerts, seminars and tours of the Music Museum.
