Beth Ann Fennelly: Mississippi Poet Laureate

Beth Ann Fennelly became the Poet Laureate for the state of Mississippi in 2016. Her term ends in 2020. Fennelly has received many grants awards for her work from the NEA and the United States Artists as well as a Pushcart and a Fulbright to Brazil. She has also published six books (three of which are poetry) and has had her work featured in over fifty anthologies. Currently, Fennelly teaches in the MFA program at the University of Mississippi.
