This guide is intended to help you find mobile applications and websites that will help you do research at MSU Libraries, get around campus and enjoy your time at MSU.
These applications are offered free or, in some cases, for very low cost. Please check your mobile service plan to make sure of your data usage limits.

Guide to Icons
Beside this guide's links to apps and websites, you'll see a number of small icons. Hover over each icon to see what it denotes. A quick guide:
- Mobile-Optimized Website
This icon denotes a website that can be easily viewed on any mobile device with a browser and Internet connection; no app is required. - Apple
This icon denotes apps that work on Apple devices such as the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. Carefully check each app you download to make sure it is compatible with your Apple device (for example, some iPhone apps don't yet work with iPad). - Android
This icon denotes apps that work on Android-powered devices. Many will work best if you have a Google account (some even require it). Carefully check each app you download to be sure it is compatible for your device (for example, some apps do not work on older Android phones). - Blackberry
This icon denotes apps for Blackberries. - Windows Phone
This icon denotes apps that work on Windows phones. - Palm
This icon denotes apps that work on Palm devices. - Other Devices

The official Android app marketplace. - Amazon Appstore for Android
Learn about Android devices, test-drive apps, download free and paid apps, and even purchase Android phones and tablets. - AndroidZoom An alternative to the Android Market--a listing of Android apps, themes, wallpapers, and more.
- Blackberry App World Apps for your Blackberry device.
- Windows Marketplace Get apps for your Windows Phone or other mobile Windows device.
- Zune Software Download the Zune software to get apps and games for your Windows phone.
- uQuery A search engine for mobile apps. You can connect uQuery to Facebook to share information about your favorites.
- Mobile Apps from USA.gov These government apps and mobile sites allow you to access official information on various topics from the palm of your hand.
