Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising (ATM)

This guide provides an introduction to resources related to the areas of apparel, textiles, merchandising, product development, entrepreneurship, social responsible apparel production, and greentailing business practices.  This interdisciplinary area of study encompasses the fashion and textile industries; apparel design; historic costume; ethnic dress; cross-cultural design, merchandising, and marketing; visual merchandising/store display; computer-aided design; consumer behavior; product knowledge; and business principles.  Users are encouraged to consult other research guides in these areas.  This guide includes a selective introduction to databases, web resources and books related to this topic.
