Looking for a way to manage your bibliographic citations?  Or re-format your citations from MLA style to APA?  Consider purchasing EndNote, a popular bibliographic management software application.  To enhance your research efforts, the Mississippi State University Libraries has negotiated a site license for EndNote.  We are currently selling EndNote Version X3 for PCs and X2 for Macs.

As part of our site license, EndNote will be made available to all MSU faculty, staff, and students at a subsidized price.  EndNote Version X3 will be sold fo faculty and staff for $75 and to MSU students for $50.  Departmental transfers can be arranged.

The product is ONLY available for purchase at this price at the MSU Libraries' Access Services Department, located on the second floor of the Mitchell Memorial Library.  With the purchase of EndNote, each person will receive a CD-ROM containg a copy of the software.  The CD-ROM contains a pdf version of the EndNote Manual.  (Caution: this is a very large document!)  Users purchasing the software will be entitled to all software upgrades occuring during the contract period.  For additional information concerning the purchase of EndNote, please contact the Access Services Department at (662) 325-7668 or access@library.msstate.edu.  You may also order your copy of EndNote online from the Access Services Department.

Users who have purchased an earlier version of EndNote from the MSU Libraries may upgrade to Version X3 for free.  Simply visit the Access Services Department to obtain your new cd.

As an authorized user of EndNote as provided under the MSU Libraries' site license, you agree to the following conditions of purchase and use:

• Authorized users must be current students or employees of Mississippi State University.
• The user will install the software only in a supported hardware and software environment as described on the EndNote product page (http://www.endnote.com).
• The user is NOT permitted to make copies of the software except as needed for backup.
• The user is NOT permitted to distribute or transfer the software in any form or reverse engineer, de-compile, translate, modify, distribute, broadcast, disseminate or create derivative forms of the software.
• The user is NOT permitted to use the software for commercial purposes.
• The user is permitted to install the software on a single computer which is used for coursework, research, or other academic activities performed as a student or employee of Mississippi State University.
