Congressional and Political Research Center

  • Congressional and Political Research Center
Located on the 1st floor of the Mitchell Memorial Library, "The purpose of the Center is to provide access to the Center's numerous holdings of U. S. Congressional collections, papers of Mississippi legislators and other state offices, and local materials of various kinds. These materials were donated to the Center by the individuals whose public service careers they reflect. Oral histories, extensive photograph collections and memorabilia enhance the collections. Finding aids and digitized samples of the collections are available on the Center website. The materials cannot be checked out, but qualified researchers may use them on site."

Green vs. Green

"Check out a documentary produced by five of our MPPA students from the spring 2010 semester. The students took part in Dr. Bethany Stich's class about democracy and capitalism. Their semester project was to produce a film that explored this topic. The students chose to examine the driving cost of energy efficiency in Mississippi and the United States in 'Green v. Green.'"
