The current grant cycle for theMississippi Z-Degreeproposals is now closed. Administered by the University of Mississippi, Hewlett Foundation grants offer $4,000 development stipends to faculty at Mississippi's public university and community colleges who adopt open educational resources. See the call for proposals for details and criteria for eligibility. The next grant cycle will begin Fall 2019.
The USDE funded an open textbook pilot program in July 2018 to support "projects at institutions of higher education that create new open textbooks or expand their use of open textbooks while maintaining or improving instruction and student learning outcomes." There was a very short turnaround for this grant cycle (August 29, 2018); however, interested parties should begin putting together a team and a proposal for the next grant cycle, in the event funding for the program is continued next fiscal year.
